Germy Does Combat Zone!

Just like all wargamers I have a dozen projects on the go. Some might get finished, some never will. Well it's all getting a bit depressing to be honest. What I need is a project I can start and finish in a short amount of time (and that's fairly cheap) and actually get a game in!
So a quick look around and I settled on Combat Zone (sold by Em4 Miniatures). It's a 28mm sci-fi skirmish game. It has been around a while and there is quite a bit of support material on the Combat Zone Chronicles website.

My plan is to document all the way through buying the rules to playing a game of Combat Zone down my club. During that journey I will go through building scenery, painting miniatures and ending with a full battle report.
It's going to be interesting to see if I can do all of that by the 14th August (which is my club day for playing the game!).
